This piece is a constructed documentation of a live performance from 2024. At its heart is a poem written and recited by my mother, Anita Van Tellingen, around which the audio and imagery are assembled. All visuals use material from the Prelinger archive, as well as damaged personal family film reels.
The poem is about conflict, memory and loss. The piece is designed to reflect that, echoing ambiguous and ever-changing images that, like memories, never seem to resolve completely and ultimately dissolve away.
